Why Cascades Select Softball?

The Cascades program is different from other select programs.  First, we are a non-profit organization. All funds received from our membership are put toward providing year-round training in our state-of-the-art indoor training facility, team operations, coaching, and other necessary expenses.

Second, we invest in the development of all of the players we select for our teams.  We support just a small number of teams and select players who are committed to working hard on the field and off.  We match this player commitment with excellent coaching from paid professionals and individualized training opportunities.

Most importantly, all of our players benefit from our consistent focus on the life-lessons offered by softball, including resiliency, commitment, focus, and camaraderie.

Program basics

Teams start practicing in the fall and begin winter training in October.  Winter training includes professional instruction in hitting, pitching, catching, and fielding, as well as an arm-strength and conditioning program.

The Cascades 16U team will play in several fall and winter tournaments, take a hiatus during the high school season, and pick up again in the summer for practices and tournaments through July.
